Skyhook II

1993

The technoglyphs were developed simultaneously in both bronze and ceramic, in bronze always in 1,5-2 mm of bas relief, and in ceramic as a printed pattern applied to the surface before re-firing, sometimes alone as a simple structure, and at other times as a veil over a background image, such as a cloud floating in the sky. As the first bronze technohooks were realised, I also made my first skyhooks, albeit with a hand-painted cloud/sky scene. The hooks, besides representing themselves, also became canvasses for content.
